BHM2022 - REPRESENTATION MATTERS

AACCCS-ISSAMBA Centre is inviting you to join this conversation on why representation matters. As you may know, AACCCS-ISSAMBA was mandated by the BC government, under the BC Resilience framework as the provincial convener for the African Descent community in BC, to lead engagement activities between the provincial government and the community, in addressing the rise in hate and to combat racism in our province. “Representation” has been a dominant subject across the eight key thematic issues we focused on, which were developed under the Canadian Strategic Action Plan(2017-2024).  It is therefore important to have community members who have taken a significant step to affect change in society in this regard to share their aspirations and also engage with the community about the need for the underlined issue.  We are humbly inviting you to join us as we deliberate on this crucial topic with our guest speakers.
