We provide food baskets of culturally relevant items to members of the community.
Live Music & Events
We are passionate about promoting African culture through activities and events that celebrate African and Caribbean traditions of dance, music, literature, and the culinary arts.
Community Outreach
We advocate on issues affecting the African descent community. We believe that organizing and advocating for social and economic justice promotes access to opportunities.
Information & Referrals
Through workshops and small group discussions, we provide Capital Regional District (CRD) residents with information about youth services, entrepreneurship, and money management.

We have African beauty essential products , tablecloth, artcrafts and more for sale
Social Connections
We provide a home-away-from-home for Africans on Vancouver Island, and give ‘a taste of Africa’ for those visiting. As a bright, welcoming space, the Centre will promote social interaction, networking and dynamic experiences.
How Can We Help
Issamba Centre offers a broad range of services designed to empower and meet the growing needs of the African descent community in Victoria and surrounding areas. Here are some highlights.
Community Connections
We assist African descent/Black Communities in the Capital Regional District to facilitate their settlement and integration in Canada. We provide information about housing, education, employment, and health care. Issamba Centre is also a place where people can socialize and make valuable community connections.
Cultural Awareness
Issamba Centre advances awareness and understanding of the richness of African and Caribbean culture and traditions and diversity of Black Communities in general.

Culturally relevant Food staples to members of the African descent and black community. To qualify, you have to be of African descent and be low-income.

ISSAMBA Which means "Come Together" in the Beti dialect of Cameroon, is a highly regarded value. In addition to being a hub for people of African descent, we also provide a gateway for engagement with Africa and the Caribbean.
